need help upgrading for home automation

I currently have two Trane units in my home. The current configuration is heat pump to fossil fuel @ 41 degrees f (temprature sensors for each is mounted on the heat pump). The equipment was installed in 07-08 and uses the Vision Pro IAQ-3 wire with the EIM setup.

Would like to upgrade my thermostats to use with Alexa and Samsung Smart Things hub. What direction should I take?

According to the Honeywell website the Prestige IAQ and gateway support Alexa.

The Honeywell Prestige IAQ is the modern version of your current Honeywell IAQ. The grey EIM looks almost exactly like your current white EIM but it only uses 2 wires between the new stat and new EIM.

Thermostat - help needed

I have a Trane AC. I think the themostat went bad but I still have the thermostat from my previous unit. The installer said to keep it in case the one that came with the AC went bad. Although I'm not sure, I think it is bad. In any case I have a replacement but it is not functioning as it should either. I wired it up like this: RC - on the Trane there is a jumper between the "R" &"RC" on Honeywell there are seperate R & RC screws but manual says wire them together (jumper). I did. Red wire - slots on each - connected to "R" White wire - slots on each connected to "W" Trane says "W1" on one side and "O" on the other side of set screw) but the white wire was screwed in. Yellow wire - slots on each connected to "Y" Blue wire - this is screwed into the "G" slot on the Trane & it says "G" on the Honeywell so connected it there as well. (wire is blue but in "G" slot on each) Brown wire - There is a slot and is used on the Trane("B") but there is no slot on the Honeywell so the brown wire is not connected The problem I'm having with the Honeywell is that it comes on a couple of times a day for 4 minutes but that's it. How to wire relay to Honewell EIM to detect when blower fan is on

I have a residential Honeywell Prestige IAG system, with THX9421R5021 thermostat connected to a Honeywell EIM. I want to wire a relay (which I'll connect a dry sensor to) to the EIM, that will allow me to determine when the blower fan comes on. Reason: I have a Fantech FG6 Duct fan installed at the end of a very long duct run. Currently I have to manually turn it on/off with a switch. I want to automate this via my SmartThings Home automation system. If I can get a relay with a dry contact wired up to the EIM, I can plug a smart dry contact sensor onto it, and then automatically turn my fan off and on. I've attached an image of my EIM. Does anyone know what leads I can wire off, and possibly suggest what sort of relay with a dry contact I could use to connect. I would actually like the relay to indicate whenever the fan comes on (cooling or heat), but if that is not easily doable, I'm really most interested when the thing is in heating (blowing hot air) mode.
