Connect Thermostat to Gas Fireplace (Millivolt)
Hello,
I am kindly seeking assistance/confirmation with connecting a thermostat to my gas fireplace:
Napoleon Direct Vent Gas Fireplace (Model: B36NTR) with a millivolt operating system and a blower is also connected to the fireplace)
Currently it is connected to a light switch via 4 conductor wire per the following:
1. Which terminals do I connect these wires to on the thermostat?
Terminals on Thermostat (White Rodgers Digital Thermostat Model: 1F78):
RC, RH, W, Y, O, B, G (there is a jumper between RH and RC)
I assume:
TH (red/black wires) > W
TP/TH (yellow/green wires) > RH
2. If so, do I need to remove the jumper?
3. Also there is a Electric Gas switch, which setting do I choose? (I assume "Electric" to turn it over to battery only power?)
Manuals for reference:
Fireplace - https://napoleonproducts.com/downloa.../W415-1678.pdf
Thermostat Wiring Diagrams - http://www.emersonclimate.com/Docume..._06_pg0190.pdf
Thank you for your time and assistance!

It will not change anything in your application if you leave the jumper in or remove it as long as you connect to RH and W. ( But I would remove it)
The electric or gas switch controls the G terminal output to a fan control. Since you are not using a fan you can leave it in any position.
