Hi folks

can someone please explain to me what proporttional intergral regulation ( pwm) time cycle in min means ?

and value of the proporttional band in *c means?

these 2 settings exist in the setting menu .

I have a radiant in floor heat with a lion 23 kw electric boiler , i dont understand these 2 settings ,

It's a fancy way of describing overshoot. The system tries to maintain a constant temperature rather than a fast rise and temperature overshoot. I'm not exactly sure how the time figures in but the degrees is the amount of overshoot from the setpoint.

Another Classic C-wire post

Only posting this because almost everyone with a similar issue never does a follow up on whether or not they destroyed their heating system using the external transformer. I’ve been working on switching my current battery powered basic thermostat over to a wifi enabled one, but found my C-wire is not connected to the transformer at the heat pump. My heat pump is an older one made by First Co which has a mess of wires and a wiring diagram I can barely understand. If anyone has a simple fix for me I would greatly appreciate it. Otherwise, I plan on using an external 24vac transformer which I will connect one end to the C and the other to the R and RC terminals at the thermostat with a 3amp fuse between the transformer and the R-RC terminals as a precaution. My transformer does not arrive for a few days but I will update this post as I progress. Current Thermostat: Honeywell RTH5100b Updated Thermostat: Honeywell VisionPRO 8000 TH8321WF1001 Running a heat pump and an A/C unit. I have 5 wires in the wall (blue one is not shown) I plan to connect Rc and R --> Rc and R Y --> Y W --> W G --> G External transformer lead 1 --> C External transformer lead 2 --> Fuse --> Rc and R I appreciate all feedback on this and thank you in advance. Current C wire not powering on the Ecobee

I have a C wire (blue) in my current thermostat which isn't connected. When i tried using it with Ecobee it didn't power it on. I looked at the furnace and there are two blue wires. One of them is connected to C but there is also another blue wire which is simply connected with the green wire. Any help is appreciated. I have attached the pictureRead More
