Nest 3rd Gen Cooling Stage 2 not working but Heat pump cooling is working
I spent more than an hour with Nest tech support but they were not able to fix this issue. They are sending me a new base, but I don't think that will resolve the problem. I have a Goodman heat pump and a Nest 3rd Gen tstat. The Cooling Stage 2 does not provide cold air, but when I run a test, the Heat Pump Cooling works fine. The compressor and fan are both running for Cooling Stage 2 but the air is not cold. I suspect that the reversing valve is not opening. Any thoughts on programing changes that will get the system working. As mentioned above, the Heat Pump Cooling works perfect.
Thanks, Will

Welcome to the forums.
You're saying it cools fine in stage 1 but not stage 2 ??
That wouldn't be a reversing valve issue. Same valve operates in both stages.

We'd need further info on the condenser to comment further.
You can look down inside from the top and see if there are two compressors.
You can let us know what low voltage wiring is connected outside.
