Honeywell T9 installation

Hello All. I am a homeowner attempting to replace my current Honeywell thermostat with a new Honeywell T9 smart thermostat. I think I have it figured out but I just want to be certain before removing my current thermostat.

Here is a picture of the wiring for the current thermostat. Itís only connected to my boiler in the basement, no central AC:

I traced the wiring to the boiler in the basement and here is what that looks like:

The blue wire in the photo is folded and not connected to any terminals (as it is in the picture of the wiring at the thermostat). My question is: Can I simply strip the top of the blue wire and connect it to the W terminal and then connect it to the C terminal at the thermostat?

Thanks for any help I can get in advance.

- Warren

Welcome to the forums.

The picture below represents your aquastat and it's connections.
Yes.... you can put the blue wire on Z or W and use as a C connection.
You must put your red wire on TV and R at the thermostat. (put slider in 1 wire position)
You must put your white wire on T and W at the thermostat.
