Toilet won't flush

I have one toilet that won't flush. I have pulled the toilet, snaked the main drain, snaked the toilet its self. I can pour water into the bowl and the water level
will not rise. I have cleaned it with chemicals still just spins but doesn't overflow. All parts have been replaced, new flapper, everything. Could it just be the toilet. All other drains work fine

The other toilet shares the same roof vent. I built the house in 1985 and helped a plumber. The toilet is that old, but can't find a new one with same color, Mexican Sand, I would replace it with an off white but my wife will have nothing to do with that

How much water did you pour, in the toilet? Pour 5 gallons. Do you use Charmin toilet paper?

With the toilet installed quickly pour a 5 gallon bucket of water in the center of the bowl. This should force a flush. If it flushes then you may have a problem with the toilet. The water has to be poured quickly. If you do it slowly the water will just drain through the toilet's trap without actually causing a flush.

1985 toilet? I know the poor flush did not happen overnight right?

Is it an american standard Plebe toiler by any chance? Oh wait mexican sand was Kohler I think...

If you can pour 3 gallons of water in the bolw and it flushes fine then the toiler is the issue.. Calcium build up and water is not getting from the tank to the bolw fast enough...

Try clearing the holes under the rim with a coat hanger.. This often helps ..

Also a bottle of clr too down the overflow tube...

Let us know..

Here is a good vid..
