Removing cast iron bathtub

I think my bathtub is CI , sounds like a bell when tapped ,is dark and rough looking at the bottom from the basement and the walls are thick
I need to remove it. Is there another way besides braking it apart with a sledge ?
Thank you

You could try to cut it with a sawzall & a carbide blade.

A sawzall would work but be very time consuming.
You could also use a cutoff grinder to cut the tub.

I've only ever used a sledge hammer. Nailpops do occur below with this method.

I was thinking the same thing. I was going to say that he should be done memorial day.

If you end up having to use a sawzall, use a Milwaukee blade called "The Torch". They cut very well.

The Torch & that Ax are very good blades. They may not cut cast iron though unless you have done it before. A carbide blade maybe needed.
