1.5gpm Faucet for Bathtub?

I'm turning my attention to the faucet in my bath remodel.
Almost all of the faucets I can find are rated at just 1.5gpm
It looks like some government recommended figure to limit water use?
Isn't that a bit low to fill a bathtub?
Our new bath is 60gallons!

Faucets for washbasins have been limited to 1.5 gpm for many years. Unless there has been a new edict issued, bath tub fillers have no limits.

Shower heads are rated lower than tub spouts. Look to the universal rough in body for the brand that you are looking at and there should be two flow ratings.
