Tub paint is prone to failure. You could sand and repaint but know this is going to happen again.

I'm selling the place. Can I just touch up or probably paint won't match?!

Do you have the paint that was used to paint it the last time? If so, it will likely touch up, though it might take some effort and expansion of the area being painted.

Ugh. How bad is it? This could turn into a nightmare project really quickly.

It's hard to say what grit is needed without seeing the tub/damage. I'd suggest starting with 80 grit and see how it goes, you'll want a finer grit before you apply the paint.

The #1 reason for tub paint failure is improper prep! Ideally you sand the whole tub smooth [that will remove or reveal any other loose paint] and then refinish. Touch ups often show
