Exhaust fan died
i am trying to get to the housing of my exhaust fan. it is an harbor breeze light/exhaust fan. how do you remove the fixture? there are no clips to pop it loose from above. Thanks in advance!!

Spring clips, pull straight down on the housing to release the cover. Then pinch the spring clips.
Sometimes the fan is full of dust and lint and can be resurrected without replacement. Some models you can easily replace just he motor and squirrel cage and save on some headaches.

In the event the cover doesn't pull straight down on clips like czizzi described.... then the plastic lens may snap out separately. Then you would see what held the grill in place.

Is there ways to show pictures in forums? I am new
. Then I can show you what I am dealing with. The fixture is metal not plastic. I tried pulling down but I am afraid if I go any further, it will break.
