Villager apron tub install

Ok, I've been getting conflicting advice on what's acceptable for this tub I've recently placed in my 5x8 bath.

The tub is in place with maybe 1/2 inch slope toward drain, 1/8 inch or less slope from back wall toward apron. Sound acceptable?

I did not use a ledger as this tub is sitting on a slab and I don't think I could handle getting a ledger perfectly installed. This thing weighs 350 lb.

Also, someone suggested I place nails into studs just above the lip. This would obviously keep my cement board from butting flush to the lip.
Is there actually a reason to do this?

Thanks all, once again, for your terrific guidance.

I just installed one of these myself.
Kohler says to not use a ledger board but shim the feet with metal shims till a desireable slope is achieved. Your slope sounds fine.
As for placing nails into the studs to raise the cement board, just give yourself some space above the lip. This allows moisture to run down and out rather than be trapped and rot the bottom of the board.

Best of luck!
