Tub Faucet - Stuck - No Diverter - Leak
All right, yesterday my Fiance was showering when I noticed water leaking down into our basement. After pulling off the valve stems, replacing the gaskets/seals, and applying a thread sealant. I have determined that they were not the cause of the leak. I went up from there and checked the shower head elbow, no leak there.
I am to the point where I believe the leak is coming from the faucet. I am trying to remove the faucet, but I am having no luck. It seems to seized up and I am unable to get it to tighten or loosen (lubricant has been applied). Anyone have any ideas? No, there is not a setscrew.
I will be re-caulking and grouting between the tiles to ensure a proper seal.
If the faucet is not the cause of the leak, I have run out of ideas and will be calling in a plumber.
Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated, before I hire outside help. Thank you!
