Finished laundry room sink recommendations

My wife and I are installing cabinets and want a "nice" sink for our laundry room. We have a big wash tub sink in an unfinished part of our basement already. We are using a laminate counter top from Lowes that we picked up on sale. Our sink base is a 33" cabinet. What do you guys recommend?

I would go with a stainless steel single basin. You don't need two basins like a kitchen for washing and rinsing dishes but one big basin would be nice to fit a bucket or soak a rug or blanket.

Doing my first kitchen remodel ever. So many decisions. Sink I thought would be easy. Not. Granite Composites. Look nice, but Crack, stain. Stainless Steel. Looks great but Scratches and rusts. Coated Cast Iron. Ex-pensive. Some say, dated look. And I heard the Kohler plant burned down so shipping soon is not going to happen. What would you do. We do want a single drain model.Read More

Water used upstairs, sulfur smell downstairs

Hi. New to the forums. We are in a 2-story built in 1993, been here about 4 months. We're finding that when we use water on the second story (sink, toilet, shower), the first floor becomes filled with a sulfur smell. The first floor contains a 1/2 bath, kitchen, and laundry. What's interesting is that the smell only occurs after an extended period of non-use, e.g. when we return home from work in the evening. However, we do not smell anything after using the shower in the morning. The previous owners said that they smelled it, too, and that their solution was to run the faucets in the basement (full bath, kitchenette) for a little bit to alleviate the smell. What is going on?!
