Hi all! The handle on the spigot from my rain barrel has broken off. The company has sent me a new spigot entirely but in order to install it, I have to empty the barrel, crawl inside and install from the inside! Does anyone have any suggestions on a quick fix that i can do to use the broken off handle or a way to just replace the handle itself?

I recently purchased a home and installed a new shower head - we haven't even moved in yet. But I turned the water on to test the installation, and noticed a pin-hole sized stream of water coming out of the hole in the wall where the shower head pipe fits into the brass elbow fitting. When I tighten the pipe, it only goes 3/4 turn around before I cannot tighten it any further. This leaves the shower head pipe pointing to the right, instead of down. The only thing I can do is turn it back 3/4 of a turn, which leaves it far too loose. I've added a bunch of plumbers tape to the shower head pipe (8 full revolutions) and that helps a bunch, but doesn't seem like a permanent fix, since the pipe still moves a bit. Which will happen anytime someone tries to adjust the shower head to fit their height. Are there good solutions that don't require me to rip open tiles or the wall in the dining room behind the shower? Is this something that can be soldered? Or is there something other than the teflon tape that provides a more permanent solution?
