Leaky kitchen faucet (stuck)

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to fix this leaky kitchen faucet but i'm stuck at this part.

I don't know how to remove the circle part to get to the springs and seals of the faucet?

I'm following this video and using the same spanner wrench but it i didn't work. What do i need to do to remove this ??

You're watching a Moen faucet repair video but that's a Delta cartridge in your picture. Every faucet is different. Is that a Delta faucet ?

That replacement cartridge is used in 45 different Delta faucets. The big bonnet nut needs to come off. Sometimes it's hand tight and other times it needs help. Usually a large pair of channellock pliers is helpful but you need to protect the nut from the teeth of the pliers. A rag or a piece of rubber works well. Once that big nut is off you can remove the internal nut and then..... the cartridge pulls straight out.

This video is for a bathroom faucet but the repair method is identical to your kitchen faucet.

Replacement cartridge.....

Delta part # RP50587

Use an adjustable wrench on the flats of the brass hex nut. Turn CCW for removal and CW for install.

Thank you guys! I got it to work. The channel lock pliers that I was using wasn't big enough. I bought a bigger one and it worked!

Thank you very much for the help!!

$29 for the cartridge and $9 for the channel lock pliers
