Reconfiguring Shower Head

I just moved into a new apartment and the in the bathroom we have a tub with the shower head mounted on the long side wall, rather than on the short wall at the front of the tub like most showers. I can’t move any plumbing but would like to move the shower head to the front of the tub by using and extender pipe. What parts would I need for this? Has anyone done this before?

Our shower set up is similar to the picture at the link below except the shower head comes out of the wall instead of being on a hose.

What do you mean by extender pipe? Do you mean something on the outside of the wall as opposed to the inside of the wall?

You would use the same exact thing show in that picture.
You'd connect the hose in place of the existing shower head and attach the bracket to the end wall.
