How do I remove this faucet?

Replacing my old kitchen faucet, and I can for the life of me not figure out how to remove the old mount.
The metal part in the picture had two bolts that I removed, but that is it. There is nothing left that is shaped as a nut!!

Help!!

That is not a typical faucet. I'm going to guess a designer faucet.
Did the two bolts hold the faucet it ?
Possibly those pieces are threaded together.

As Lawrosa said, the disc from which the 2 screws were removed has threads on its ID and unthreads from the faucet body below the sink. If you can't unscrew disc by hand (counter clockwise looking up at disc), put nuts on the removed screws and thread in to the disc( thichness of disc). Tighten nuts to disc and use screws as points to apply pressure to unscrew disc from faucet body. Pull out faucet from top.
