i was wondering if anyone has ever used fiberglass filler and a resurface kit?? We had it leaking and mad MAJOR water damage so we are trying to make a “permanent” fix!
Hey folks,
I have an older faux marble jetted garden tub. It was in the house when we bought it many years ago and never worked exactly right. I am remodeling that bathroom but I am keeping the tub. While I have access to all the plumbing I would like to get it working properly. So on to the problem. The pump turns on and the jets do their job, but when you open the air control water comes out instead of putting air into the system. I have figured out it is plumbed with balboa slimline jets of some type. I talked with someone that sells replacement jets and he said something had to be blocking the jets for it to back up like that. I removed the escutcheons, eyeballs, and gaskets. If I run the tub without those on, it seems to function fine, ie air bubbles added to the jets. The eyeballs are clear with no obstructions, but when I put them back on it goes back to sending the water out the air controller. I can see no other obstructions. This just doesn't make much sense to me. Any help would be appreciated.
I've tried everything but the right solution In my guest bathroom there is a vanity with dual sinks. The first sink drains great and the toilet which is on the upstream side also works well as does the master bathroom farther upstream. Filled up bathtub and it drained quickly.
This sink also has a dishwasher like attachment through which the condensate from the attic air handler drains. I have taken apart all and cleaned the p-trap and the condensate part and the hose feeding it. I took my snake and fished it down through to soil pipe and didn't feel anything obstructing. Then the best I could, I cleaned the sink's overflow drain and think it is clean. The sink still won't drain. Also I filled up our utility sink which is downstream a little and it drains great. What am I missing? Help please. Thanks.....
