Waterproof floor for bathroom
Hi, I am having trouble finding what material to use for a bathroom floor. I found some building codes that said, "waterproof fiberboard" but when I search for the at Lowes etc I get a lot of MDF options. Pretty sure that's not what I need.
I have seen the grey looking sheet stuff somewhere, but danged if I can find what it is called to order it. Can anyone help here?Thanks

Do mean the room floor or the shower floor? Typically the floor covering [tile,vinyl] is sufficient for the bath room floor. The shower floor uses a membrane under the tile or a pan.

Thanks, but I mean the real floor, not a floor covering. As in, a hole through to the ground if there is none. 
We want to submit a Permit for an en-suite and pretty sure the current plywood flooring is not going to be Code for a potentially wet area. I thought there was some concrete-mix-type-fiberboard or something. It is that name I am searching for.

1/4" cement board is all you need for floors .... unless it needs to go higher to meet the flooring in the hallway. If 1/4" plus the tile is to tall you can skip the cement board and use Ditra.
