Tub spout diverter problem
I installed a new tub spout/diverter. Followed all manufacturers instructions. Diverter functions properly in "on" position -- full shower head pressure and no flow through the spout.
However, when diverter is pushed down, I have some flow through showerhead. Enough flow to cause a reduced, but solid stream of water from shower head.
Ideas? It's a 1/2" copper pipe from wall....no leaks noticed at wall area.

The new tub spout is too restrictive for the amount of water you are putting through it. Try opening your faucet partially so there isn't the full flow and I bet the problem will go away.
