Kitchen sink drains slow
My kitchen sink drains very slowly if it is filled with water. If I just run the sink straight down the drain, it goes fast. I think maybe it has something to do with air venting? I did snake it to make sure it wasn’t clogged. There is the dishwasher drain piece that does go in to the plastic drain there but the dishwasher wasn’t running when I tested it. I did remove the j trap to check and then snaked. Any ideas?

ahh NY plumbing!!!
Has it always dont this?
Possibly a AAV vent will help.. Does not hurt to try, but typically vents are for trap siphonage. ( Is that a word?) lol

Thanks for the info. After a day of this issue it seems to work fine now and the problem cleared up. I was concerned something got in the vent from the recent storm here in ny, and blocked the vent. Have a great day.
