Slow close toilet seat hinge retrofit
I would like to replace the current hinges shown on this wood toilet seat with a slow closing type. Where can I find them? Been to home centers but all they can offer is a complete replacement seat assembly, no hinges. I would very much like to keep the wood seat set
Can't figure out how to attach the photos I took (?) Where do I do that, key to understanding how they fit.

I have never seen slow close toilet seat hinges in a big box store. You're probably going to have to order them. When I searched online I found a couple but that's it. You may have to buy a whole seat with hinges.

Wood seat retrofit project

Finally got the pics. So you see what the hardware looks like. Saw some complete slow closing seats at bug box online, $50. Rather expensive, could I get one and swap the hinges over, or is it going to be more trouble/$$ in the long run?

Swapping hinges might work if you buy a slow close seat that's about the same weight. All the slow close seats I've seen are plastic and I imagine lighter in weight than your wood seat.
