Leaking American Standard wall mount power flush

My wall mount power flush leaks where the seat meets the tank, the gasket has been replaced with a ‘better’ gasket from American Standard and still has a small amount of water spraying from the seal every time I flush.
Question is; I want to replace the black plastic power flush canister inside the tank with a ‘regular’ setup, like most ‘normal’ toilets.
Can this be retrofitted?

In the diagram here: https://www.americanstandard-us.com/...3100.pdf?la=en

... it looks like it might be possible. Pull the tank off, remove the flushometer tank and it should be apparent. If not, it would be a good time to try another gasket. And check the tank for cracks -- replacing the gasket will usually fix leaks at the tank-to-bowl.
