Kitchen Faucet is hard to swivel

Hello:
My Meon Kitchen Faucet was installed just last February. Now, less than one year, Kitchen Swivel is very hard to swivel. I need to swivel using faucet handle to swivel hard.
What causing this?
Any help on this problem would be truly appreciated.
Thanks,

Friction between the spout and faucet body when rotating is causing a cold weld due to loss of lubrication. If you can remove the spout, remove burrs and add petroleum jelly to the portion in contact with the body. Do this often (every 3-4 months).

Rather than petroleum jelly I use Faucet and Valve grease that is intended for use with plumbing fixtures. A small tube is a lifetime supply for me. What I use came from True Value, but there are all different brands. I just recently had to remove a Moen cartridge for lubricating.
