Removing t adapter from shutoff valve in tight spot

I have a t adapter connected to the shutoff valve that I can't remove because the off position of the valve has it facing up, making the space very tight. Because it's a t adapter, can't use a valve wrench. And don't have access to the main water shutoff valve. Any ideas?

What if you remove the valve handle and use a combination wrench?

The orientation is not an issue. Put a wrench on the valve body to hold it from moving and loosen the compression nut that is holding the valve onto the pipe. If you are just trying to remove the T adapter the process is the same. Hold the valve still with one wrench while you loosen the nut for the adapter. Turning the valve's knob 90 or removing it altogether can allow you better access to the nuts.
