Reviving an old Outdoor Farm canvas

I have an old Large piece of Farm equipment canvas. About 10' by 20' feet. on the thick side. It has these large seams that are falling apart. I wish to cut the canvas into smaller sections. However it is old and frail. IT did have an oil finish when I first acquired it, that tended to make it a bit more tough and sturdy. SO basically I am asking what can I treat this old tired canvas with to extend its life? It tends to rip easily if I pull hard enough in one direction, IT use to stand up to much more rigorous conditions.
Some wax or oil treatment of sorts.

It sounds like it's shot. Time to look for a replacement.

I agree. I don't think there's anything you can do to restore it. The more you handle it or do to it, the worse it will get.
