Old Linoleum Floor

Hi - I live in a pretty old home with original linoleum tile (is this the same as vinyl tile?) It has a crack the length of the room thalassemia gaps as wise as 1 or 2 inches! Can grout be used to fill the crack & if so what kind? Thanks!

First, linoleum and vinyl are not the same, sounds like you have vinyl tiles.

My first question would be why such a large gap exists? I would attempt no 'fix' until I had at least tried to figure that out.

What is the subfloor? How big are the tiles, 9x9 or 12x12? You could have either vinyl , linoleum or asbestos tile. How old is the floor?

Please post a picture so we can see what your seeing.
Somethings really wrong under that floor that needs to be addressed if there really is that wide a gap.
