Dimple Mat for Basement
Hello all
im looking into redoing my basement which is currently carpet on concrete and was reading articles on using dimple mat before placing a flooring on top. For flooring, I was going probably going to go vinyl (I’m not sure sheet or planking yet).
Does anyone one have any experience using the mag or suggestions on what type I should get for the job?
Thanks

There is a basement subflooring system that has a plastic, dimpled mat on the bottom with a damp proofed wood like sheet on top. It comes in about 2' square pieces. The big question is why? Do you have a water problem in the basement? Do you want to add insulation under the flooring?

It's like the big rolls of dimple material they put on exterior foundations I believe...I don't know if they have a similar product for interior floors. Oh, yes, they do. Platon by Certainteed................
