Fixing a problem with shower floor pitch?
This was actually done by a contractor, but he is away this week and will take look at it when he returns, and if these are indeed the options, I'd like to make an informed decision.
the shower was finished 2 weeks ago. enclosure added 1 wk ago.
The reason i'm posting is that through reading, the two options are to:
tear out the existing tile, re-pitch, retile
or
tile over the existing tile make the correct pitch correction.

the dimensions are 47in deep by 50in wide. the threshold is 3 1/4 high on the exterior portion of the shower and 2.5 in on the interior.
Thank you for your time.

If you have water still standing a couple minutes after the water is turned off that's a problem. How to fix it depends on what the contractor did for the base. It may be able to install another layer on top and try to correct the problem but I wouldn't consider that a professional solution especially for a shower of that caliber. Whatever was done I think the floor tile needs to come up to correct the problem with the base then new tile reinstalled on top.
