How tall to make tile for baseboard?

I want to do a tile baseboard for a bathroom project, but the style of tile I am using is only available in a few sizes and nothing small enough for a tile baseboard. So, I will have to cut my own pieces. I was wondering how tall to cut the tile baseboard. How many inches tall do you cut your tile for a baseboard in a bathroom?

This is a similar example I am considering...

I would normally go 3-4". Just make sure you have a factory edge facing up. That will look the best.

Standard wood base trim starts at 3 1/4" and increases in size from there. If you go smaller than that it will look odd. I tend to do what will minimize waste and maximize usage if the tile I have at hand.
