Cleaning grout haze
Me again!
I have completed grouting my vinyl tile about 5 days ago. There is still a noticeable haze on the tile and I am wondering if there's a trick to removing it? The pre-mixed grout advised not to expose the grout to water for 7 days. I read online that Windex works. I tried wiping each tile but the haze is still there.
Does anyone know any tricks to getting grout haze off of vinyl tile?

They don't want running water to hit the tile for seven days..
The haze usually gets removed several hours after grouting or at least by the next day.
There are different types of flooring tile grouts. Some require mineral spirits for cleanup.
What was listed on the package for haze removal or cleanup ?

Okay, I will try that. There was a lot of conflicting information - I didn't want to ruin the grout. Hopefully it's not too late to get the haze off. Thanks!!

The package just said to wipe haze a few hours after laying the grout. The same package also advised not to walk on the vinyl for 24hrs after grouting, and to also be careful with how much water you get into the grout via the sponge before it sets. Because of all the conflicting information I decided to leave it. It isn't horrible, but you can tell the haze is there. Do you no longer suggest vinegar? Am I too late?

Mineral spirits is not terribly strong. I'd try it on one tile to see if it removes the haze.
Use it sparingly.
I originally recommended 50-50 warm water and vinegar before I saw vinyl tile.
You could still try it. It's nowhere near as strong as mineral spirits.

Weird! I'm sorry. If you're really interested just google search 'Premixed vinyl tile grout Lowe's' and it's the purple tub product in the links that follow. No worries though if not.
