Question Need Advice on Size, Type and Spacing - Small bathroom

Hello,

Im tiling a bathroom right now, size is about 3 X 8'

My questions below, in your opinion:

What size Tile would be best?

12 x 12" or 12 x 24"?

What type of laying pattern?

Matte or Glossy?

What size for spacing for each tile?

Design is up to you as to pattern, layout and grout spacing. However, the large format tiles will probably look out of place in such a small bathroom so rule out the 12x24.

I was looking my own bathroom (4'x6') for a similar upgrade but decided against changing the floor. Anyhow, I avoiding the larger tiles (12"x12" and larger) because there would be enough pieces and grout lines on the floor to highlight the tile. I would suggest something 12"x12" or smaller. Another approach would be to look at a stone tile that minimizes the grout lines to begin with so it appears more like a solid sheet of stone.

I agree with Z that you don't want the bigger tile since it will make the small room seem even smaller.
