Ensure peel and stick planks are straight when walls are not

If I start at the far wall, how can I ensure that when I finish, the planks will be level with the doorway?
do I use a chalk line because the walls are probably not straight.
I'm laying then horizontally on this floor.

Level?

Not sure that's the word you meant to use.

Why can't you start at the doorway?

Sorry not level but aligned.
I could start at the doorway bib would then have the same question for the far wall. How do I make the planks straight without having to cut the final one at an angle?

Secondly, what's the best transition to use from tile to a 2mm higher vinyl plank?

Take measurements from the doorway back to the far wall to establish/confirm the stating line.

You can always trim the piece at the threshold assuming it's just a small amount.

Looks like this is a small bathroom?

It might look better from the doorway if you ran the planks vertically (lengthwise from the doorway back towards the cabinet.) It would give the illusion of length and depth to the entrance. It would also hide any misalignment between the tiles in the doorway and the front of the cabinet.

But I dont know what the rest of the room looks like.
