Aluminum or PVC trim for tile

I have an 36X48 shower that years ago I added a steam generator. Now I am redoing the bath room. I will have tile on ceiling and the three other walls. My wife being a wife has picked title that does not have a bullnose tile (edge) plus a 17X17 tile that I have to use on ceiling. What can I say other than great choice. I would be using a lot of this trim-window,niche and around shower doors.
Would it be OK to use Aluminum or PVC trim in the enclosed steam area. Not sure if using in the steam area would cause trouble with grout or tile.

That's the whole point of using Schluter-profiles. They eliminate grouting and caulking, provide expansion and contraction at intersections, and protect raw edges. I'm sure it's okay in a steam room but read their faq if you have doubts.
