we Live in a new home in the sound curious through walls very easily. I do not want to rip up the drywall and am looking for ways to diminish the sound. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

insulating the walls would have been the best option, now you really dont have much that can be easily added.

What kind of floors, wood floors make a room really loud, carpet and or area rugs will help.

Heavy curtains will also help!

Insulation is by far the best solution. I suppose you could have it blown in if it is a big problem. Only other option is to add things to absorb the sound. As suggested, carpets and or rugs, curtains, upholstered furniture.
