Question on type of wood for ceiling

I am absolutly in love with the attached photo of a wood ceiling. I was wondering what type of wood this, the cut, and what stain it probably is? Is it real wood planks, engineered?

Thanks,
Rich

Tongue and grove 1x6 pine v-groove. Hard telling on the stain... maybe Provincial or Early American and a satin polyurethane finish.

Check out the Armstrong materials, they make several ceiling T&G products, we have a couple different ones in our house!

My youngest son has similar ceilings in his house - 1x6 T&G pine although his has a natural [poly] finish on it. I like how it looks. If you decide to put this up you will save a lot of time if you prefinish the wood before you nail it up.
