Electric to gas - Power vented or traditional

I want to replace my electric water heater with a gas heater (gas lines are in the house). It seems no one here likes the tankless so I think I have eliminated them from the equation. I have a quote for a traditional Bradford White that they will vent thru the same vent as the oil furnace - and for a Bradford White power vented to the outside. The power vented is about twice the cost. Are they that much more efficient - or should I just go with the standard?

Thanks all!

My vote would be for the standard.

I am a fan of plain old standard water heaters. There is less to go wrong and if something goes wrong parts are available everywhere.

My in-laws have a power vented high efficiency gas water heater and in the past 12 years they've had to replace the control board twice. Worst is because it's not a common heater nobody in town stocks the parts so when it goes down they are without hot water for at least a couple days.
