Tankless waterheater vent requirements?

I am installing a tankless Rinnai water heater that uses that concentric zero clearance vent flue.

Any code requirements for venting this thing? the installation instructions are SUPER vague and only say you have to use it with one of three manufacturer venting products.

I can only go straight up to the flat roof, so routing is simple, just need to know roof clearances for California code.

THANKS!

Most gas fired appliances come with pretty explicit installation instructions for venting.

Every state or city follows gas codes. The link below should be for you.

The info so far is pretty vague for our install condition, for going out a side wall it is very detailed, but not for going straight up, I guess they think it is "common sense" haha

I appreciate the link, I will do some reading
