What are you looking for Bob ?

Something for general purpose wire soldering would be a gun.
Electronic repair work would be a bench type iron.

Weller D650 HD gun - 200/300 watts Sears.com

Weller 8200 standard gun - 140 watts. Sears.com

A medium duty gun on sale D550 - Sears.com

It's hard to tell which guns are actually stocked at the stores. I'd imagine the smaller gun.... 8200... would be stocked and would be a good overall choice.

I had a dual temp Weller solder gun for 25-30 yrs but it died. I replaced it with a cheap solder iron which works fine for me ....... but it's not like I do a lot of soldering
