Quiet sump check valve

Hi there,

Anyone have any experi nice with this quiet check valve? The banging on my current valve is starting to annoy me.

Can't help you with that particular check valve.

I do know if you have a large vertical run above the pump...... keeping the check valve up higher will keep it quieter.

Agreed. But the down side is that more water will flow back into the pit.

I have one similar to this one replaced a year ago. It is quiet and works without problems.

I'm about to pull the pin on a UV system (I'm on well water and septic) because my coli-form counts still get pretty wonky spikes because of the farm behind me in between tests with me treating it with chlorine myself. Are UV systems pretty good for that?

Water Powered Vertical Float Switch?

I recently installed an BasePump Water powered backup sump pump, and it works pretty well. But the ball float value that it ships with is quite large and I'm worried it may be stuck against the wall of the sump pit. Does anyone know if it is possible to change the ball float switch to a vertical float switch? I think this may provide some better clearance from the wall of the bit and flexibility in setting its location in the sump pit.
