Well line cleaning - iron bacteria buildup
Anybody have any success removing buildup of iron bacteria sludge from well supply line?
20 year old well system, on my 3rd pump and pressure is getting low again, can't run my sprinkler system, pressure drops to zero with a couple of minutes.
Talking with the well guy that installed system, he wanted to try a relatively new (to him) method using acid (unicid) to clean out the system at a cost of $3600 (claims product is extremely expensive). Today he told me he wants to try another product (ultratrack?) for $1700.
Searching around the internet I came across Boresaver Ultra C. Was wondering if anybody had any success with this product?
BoreSaver Ultra C ? Boresaver.com

But then your tearing up over 100 feet of my backyard and driveway. He claimed the acid treatment would completely eliminate the iron bacteria and clean 100% of the buildup. But wouldn't guarantee it. He said he talked to his well buddies and they said they have been using the other product successfully (ultratrack?) and he was excited to experiment with it on my system, but I'm not willing to pay $1700 for an experiment.
I wonder if the 2nd product he talks about is in fact the Boresaver chemical.

Inside the well casing is pvc, from the casing into the basement is black poly, 1.04" I.D. I believe.
I'm trying to understand the instructions I received from the distributor, pretty much the same as following link:
BoreSaver Ultra C
I was hoping I could use this product similar to how you would disinfect the well system with bleach. Except I would attach my hose at the bladder tank spigot and recirculate down the well casing.
