Want to make access to one tank easier.
I have a two tank septic. The one that they check to see if it needs pumping has a concrete top about 18 wide (round). I was just told I can put some thing that will extend the access to ground level (so I do not have to dig every two years to uncover the top) . What or where can I get info about this.

Your local septic tank dealer will have risers that you can set on the tank and place some redimix around to seal it. So you'll want whatever height riser and a lid. They're affordable and well worth it.

Any septic tank supplier will have risers. My local place has them in plastic with a concrete base. You clean off the top of your tank. Apply a strip of a thick, gooy tar like butyl around the opening to seal out ground water. Then set the riser down in place. They weigh a fair bit so if you don't have machinery a helper is a good idea. Then you add on more plastic rings to get the height you need, then screw on the cap. Your tank looks pretty shallow so you probably just need the shortest riser they have.
Another way to go is with pre-cast concrete pipe. You set it in place in a bed of mortar than set a concrete cap on top. I think most pipe sections are 2 or 3' long so it would stick out of the ground much higher than a proper septic tank riser and I think is more ugly.
