Hinges and max door size

So I'm building a display cabinet and Im planning onon some large glass doors (22x61). The weight in 3/16 glass is about 21 lbs which is within the load rating of the pivot hinges I plan on using. However, they list a max door size as well...

Why do hinges have a max door size? By the way I only fail height not width.

The weight only tells you the weight of the door. The size of the door gives some indication of how far away the weight might be from the hinge. It's just like it's easy to hold a 10 pound weight close to your body but it's much harder to hold it with your arm straight out. The weight has not changed but by putting the weight further away it increases the load on the hinge.

If you have to be over on a dimension having the door taller than they recommend is better than having it wider.
