Having an attic fan keeps the whole house cool in warm weather. Below are some great options to look into should you decide to install a fan in your attic.
Static Air Vents
While not actually a fan, the traditional static air vent is a less expansive option. It may not provide enough air movement to make your house significantly cooler, though.
Solar fans are a green option, but you may need to install more than one to cool your home. The fans work best in areas with a good amount of heat and sunlight. If you live in an area that cannot provide those two things, solar fans may not be a good option for your home.
Exhaust fans are another good cooling option. These fans are designed to remove large volumes of hot air from the entire house while bringing in cooler air from outside. If you have a larger home, this may be the best option, as it can efficiently recycle a lot of air.
