5 Car Wax Detailing Tips
There are some things to keep in mind if you are car wax detailing your car to produce a professional looking job and keep your prize car looking great.
Tip 1
Always wax your car in the shade. Waxing in the sun will cause the wax to dry too quickly and too hard and will make it difficult to remove and buff.
Tip 2
Use the best wax you can afford. Products that contain carnauba wax or are pure carnauba produce the best results.
Tip 3
Wax your car after it has been thoroughly washed, dried and polished. Remember that wax will shine your car but its main function is to protect the paint on your car. If you can slide your fingers over the car and feel scratches, you should use a filler or clear coat before waxing.
Tip 4
Use clean rags to apply the wax and clean cloths to buff it. A power buffer is great for the job but be careful with it since misuse can scratch and damage your car.
Tip 5
If you have a black car you may need to purchase wax that is specifically designed for black cars and the paint that is used. These can be purchased at auto parts stores and car dealerships.
