Center set bathroom sink faucets have a standard 4-inch drill that and 2 handles. These handles are usually mounted on a plate. Center set faucets are ideal for smaller spaces. It is a very economical faucet because the handles are very close to each other; however, its design is also its downfall since it is more difficult to clean or use as compared to other types of faucets. This type of faucet also has a version that uses lever handles.

Single Handle Faucets

Unlike other common types of faucets, single handle faucets only require a single sink hole. The controls for this type of faucet are typically found at the top of the spout or at its side. The spouts can be of different lengths as well. The length of the spout varies depending on its designated use. Sink types such as the vessel sink require a longer spout. When purchasing this type of faucet, you will notice that some designs have a 6-inch plate cover while some do not have a plate cover at all.

Wall Mounted Faucets

Wall mounted sink faucets require a longer spout in order to provide easier reach. These faucets are installed on the walls and above the counter. Some bathrooms that have pre-installed sinks usually make use of this type of faucet.

Electronic Sink Faucets

Some new faucets even have electronic controls, such as the proximity electronic faucet. This type of faucet is usually used in commercial bathrooms.
