Brick cleaning can be just as easy as cleaning in other areas of your home. As with any other part of your home, cleaning the bricks on you fireplace, wall, patio, or other part where brick has been used in the construction is a regular part of maintenance.
Brick cleaning can be done quickly, and easily with a few different operations.
For outside brick cleaning, a power washer is a great option for quick and easy cleaning. Power washers have a lot of pressure and make very quick work of any set in dirt and grime. However, at times it can be too powerful.
For brick veneer you will want to set the pressure below 400 PSI and use a water and mild detergent solution. When cleaning regular cement bricks, you can turn the pressure up to 1000 PSI and use water with a brick cleaning solution.
Stiff Brush and Soap
Brick cleaning inside the house will not require the use of a power washer, but can still be done easily with a bucket of warm water with a mild detergent soap and a stiff brush. Wet the brush and rub the brick with a circular motion. Rinse with clean water and dry with soft cloth.
