When considering a place to put the laundry room in your home, be warned that if you choose a roof dryer vent system then you are choosing something that requires a great deal of maintenance and monitoring. A roof vent can easily get clogged by leaves, animal nests and other debris. A clogged dryer vent is a fire hazard. As the lint builds up behind a clog, the warm air will continue to heat that lint. At some point, it will catch fire. The other problem with roof vents is that they tend to allow more lint to build up in the dryer itself which can also cause a fire hazard.
