If you get a chip in the fire clay, it is important to get it fixed as soon as possible. Repair kits are available at home improvement stores, and are very easy to use. It will come with everything you need to repair and seal about six small repairs.
3 - Seal
To keep a nice luster on your sink, and keep it easy to clean, apply a coat of carnauba wax to the surface. Be sure it is clean and dry first. This is the same type wax you apply to your car. You will apply it the same way, making sure you rub until you have removed all of the residue. This will also alleviate water spots.
