Garage door installation is the process of putting together parts and installing a new door on your garage. Installing a garage door involves many steps, it is important to follow the instructions to ensure the door works correctly.
Step 1 - Assemble
The first thing you need to do during the garage door installation process is put together the different parts of the garage door. This will consists of the rollers, hinges, rails, door and tracks.
Step 2 - Install Tracks
The tracks are what guides the rollers on the door up and down. They are installed by drilling the bracket around them into the walls beside your garage door. They go from the bottom of the door all the way to the ceiling of the garage.
Step 3 - Add Rollers
Install the rollers inside the track. The rollers are used to aid the door in going up and down.
Step 4 - Attach Door
A garage door will come in three to four different pieces. This makes it easier to install, and there also has to be flexibility, so that garage door can roll up and down. The first portion of the door that will be installed is the bottom, and you will attach the door's hinges to the rollers. Once the bottom of the garage door is complete, you will work way up and attach each portion of the garage door to each other and the rollers.
